WHere is a home-style interpretation of a drink found on our latest cocktail list. This is a party-sized premix which is packed with the flavours of a Christmas time, which makes it excellent for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial for morning drinks, puddings, or for more rounds of this cocktail.
Bikini
Serves 10 servings
For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Syrup: Place every items into a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring to dissolve. Then, remove from the burner and let it to cool fully. Pour into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it can be stored for around a month.
To make Batch Mix: Combine the specified spirits and syrup in a big jug, leave to sit for one hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Measure 85ml of your premix to a stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring carefully for a minute to cool it down. Pour into a chilled martini glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
